Happy Birthday... To Me!

Holy Cannoli I am 24 years young! I've grunted a few times about being old, but I have the rest of my life ahead of me! I have a great feeling that 24 is going to be my best year yet. Although, this past year will be hard to beat. I have been so blessed over the past year that it's hard to ask or hope for much more.

I have been at Kaspersky (my job) for over a year. There, I went from an intern to full-time and went on four business trips (San Fran, Las Vegas, NYC, and MOSCOW)! I was promoted and have just had a stellar year career-wise! I moved into an apartment in the city with two awesome roommates, with the greatest view of Boston! I have an awesome group of friends.

My family is great! My sister is pregnant with twins and we are so excited to see what those bundles of joy bring to the family! My brothers family is awesome and his kids are the greatest! My parents are so awesome and have been so supportive of me moving so far away! It's hard at times, but I know they are always there when I need them! It's weird the things you grow to appreciate so much more as you get older, isn't it?

And thanks to Facebook and Twitter, my birthday is so much better! Everyone is so kind by wishing me a Happy Birthday! I love technology! It makes me feel so special (go ahead and say it, special ed...)

Cheers to me to turning 24 and looking forward to this year! This year has been great! So thank you to anyone and everyone who reads this blog. Along the way, you have helped me become the person I am today, and for that I am thankful!

Happy New Year!

Winter Wonderland

It's blizzardy mess outside, but it's pretty from inside. And while I'm warm and toasty outside, this is what my niece and I do... After her nap, there will be playing in the snow! I am headed to South Carolina on Tuesday and I couldn't be more excited. Family, friends and food. The three F's of the Holiday Season that I look forward to most. I wish everyone safe travels to their destinations for the holidays and a wonderful New Years.

Moscow 2009

The trip to Moscow turned out to be a great trip. The only way I can fully and adequately explain it is through movie..
The video below is a compilation of videos I took throughout the trip. I hope you enjoy!

2 days until Moscow!

Christmas Tree Lighting in Boston Common = Epic Fail! Itinerary stated the program would last from 6-8 p.m. However, we did not anticipate they would wait until 8 p.m. to light the damn tree... and we will never find out. We left at 7:30 after enduring painful renditions of Silent Night and Let It Snow by like Z-list celebrities. The lights were pretty but it was a melting pot of weirdos. Too many weirdos in one place for me. I took a jog over to the Common because it was so nice out and when I run I look like death run over a couple times and of course there were those inappropriate people who have to say, "hey girl" while I'm panting trying to catch a breath. I mean seriously. Let a girl take a jog without feeling like she is being violated. Geesh. Ok, that is my rant. I'm done and I need to pack! I hate packing. Hate it with a passion!

Christmas joke before I part... What do you call someone who is afraid of Santa?
Claus-trophobic!

3 days! and Tiger...

This whole fiasco with Tiger is well, a fiasco! We were discussing it at work today and my co-worker brought up a good point, that if he had just said something from the beginning to satisfy the press, the whole ordeal probably wouldn't have received so much bad publicity as it has. But I mean if you mess up and you're in the limelight, you have to expect the repercussions to be bad.

But like any other celebrity shocker story, everyone I talk to is like oh I don't want to hear about that anymore it's just ridiculous, but can then proceed to tell you EVERYTHING that has happened!

SO 3 days until Moscow! I have to pack tomorrow... I hate packing. Does anyone have a magical packing fairy they can lend me for this trip? I promise I'll give her back!

4 days until MOSCOW!

Yay! I leave in 4 days. Christmas is right around the corner! And then my birthday!
So many fun events on the way to smack me in the face! Somewhere in between all this, I have to do some Christmas shopping! I love Christmas. The Christmas season is my absolute favorite! The decorations, the happiness, and the family! I think it's the one time that we can focus on the happy things and pretend like the bad things don't exist, even though they unfortunately do...

Fun dates:
Moscow Dec. 5-10
Aiken Dec. 22- 29
Birthday Dec. 28
New Years Eve Dec. 31 with a ton of awesome friends in Beantown!
